Chewab is also its Potawatamie designation. It was a vast marsh rich with game. Even Jaguars. Of course the birds and fish and insects. Bear, bobcats, panthers, wolves, fox, beavers, badgers, mink, muskrat, otters and mammals hunted and lived in it. Now it's a great place to learn different flowers and prairie plants. It seems restored and well maintained. This is a nice walking trail in Lake Forest Illinois. The path has a small parking lot for 3 or 4 vehicles off Westleigh Rd. West of Route 41 (Skokie Hwy) east of Route 43 (Waukegan Rd). Here are a few snapshots of trail taken 9-3-21 You will see large birds and hear a lot too. I'm focused on trees and grasses and flowers and bushes. I took many more pics. So I have to make another post.
