"Horto in Urbis" the motto adopted by the City of Chicago. I think it does legitimately work to keep the city on some aesthetic mission and the slogan encourages its fulfilment. As a proof, a series of random quick snapshots in a typical neighborhood •Portage Park• shows how the residents work with the design.
